For providers

A free month of Pro ($20) for every colleague who pays for a plan.

  • Share your link, or type a few colleagues' addresses on your account page and we send the invitation from you.
  • When a referred provider pays for Pro or Premium, the credit lands on your Stripe balance and comes off your next invoice.
  • Not on a paid plan yet? The credit waits and applies to your first paid invoice.
  • No cap. Ten colleagues is ten free months.

For agencies

20% of every payment, for 24 months per account.

  • Tick "I manage profiles for providers" when you create your account. Your account page shows your link, invitations and earnings.
  • Every account created through your link or your invitations is yours. Plans and add-ons both count, monthly and yearly.
  • Paid monthly to your PayPal address once your balance reaches $50. W-9 before payouts pass $600 in a year.
  • One login manages many profiles. Agency accounts get their own updates, not the provider newsletter.

How tracking works

  1. Your link is guide.md/claim/?ref=YOURCODE. Put it anywhere: email, your website, a text message.
  2. Anyone who opens it gets a 60-day cookie. Last click wins.
  3. When they create an account within those days — or when an address you invited from your account page creates one — that account is yours, permanently.
  4. Commissions are computed from Stripe payments as they happen, each payment once. You see every one on your account page.

Program terms

Version 2026-09-13. Accepting them on your account page is what turns on your link.

Tracking

A referral is an account created within 60 days of opening your link (last click wins), or created with an address you invited from your account page. The referrer is fixed when the account is created and does not change.

What earns

Payments for Guide.md plans (Pro, Premium) and add-ons made by referred accounts. The $2 identity-verification fee, featured placements and refunds earn nothing. A refund or chargeback reverses the commission on that payment.

Providers

One credit worth one month of Pro per referred account, on that account's first payment. Credits apply to your Guide.md invoices; they have no cash value and are not paid out.

Agencies

20% of each qualifying payment for 24 months from the referred account's first payment. Balances are paid monthly once they reach $50, to the payout email on your account. We request a W-9 before payouts in a calendar year exceed $600.

No brand bidding

You may not bid on, or use in ad copy, "Guide.md", "guidemd", "guide md" or misspellings, in any paid search or social advertising, and you may not run ads that could be mistaken for Guide.md's own.

No spam

No unsolicited bulk email or messaging. Invitations go to people you know, or through the invitation tool on your account page.

No self-referrals

You may not refer accounts you own, control or are paid to manage under a separate agreement with Guide.md. Duplicate or fraudulent accounts void all related commissions.

Honesty

Describe Guide.md accurately. No guarantees of rankings, patient volume or AI placement. No coupon or discount claims that we have not published.

Changes and ending

We may change rates or terms for future referrals with 30 days' notice on this page, and may end participation for a breach of these terms. Earned, undisputed balances are paid out.

Questions

Do I need a paid plan to refer?

No. Any account can refer. Provider credits wait until you have a paid invoice to apply to.

What if a referred provider chooses the Free plan?

Nothing is earned until they pay for a plan or add-on. The $2 identity fee never counts.

Does a yearly plan count?

Yes. A yearly payment is one payment; agencies get 20% of it at once.

Can an agency also be paid by the provider?

Yes. Agencies may pay for a provider's plan or bill the provider for their own services. The referral commission is separate and comes from Guide.md.

Can I refer a practice I manage?

Yes, as long as the practice is a real, distinct account and you are not also the profile owner. Referring accounts you own yourself is a self-referral and is not paid.
