Sign up with an address on your own domain ([email protected] or [email protected]). That clears your account to take over provider profiles at once; a gmail or yahoo address means Guide.md approves each takeover by hand.

Next step, from your account page: take the profile over under your own account, or send the provider an approval by email. They open it, type their own name as it appears on the record and confirm they are giving you access — about thirty seconds. They stay the owner; you get a manager seat. No identity check is involved, for you or for them.

Use your practice, hospital or institutional email if you have one. Addresses at a health system, practice or residency program — or any address carrying your name — let you take over your own profile by confirming your name, with no identity document. Claiming is free either way; a personal gmail or outlook address just means a quick review by us, usually within a few days.
