Built by a physician who saw the problem from both sides
Guide.md was founded by Pouyan Golshani, MD, an interventional radiologist and physician-builder. It is operated by GigHz LLC in Los Angeles, California.
The premise is simple: platforms and algorithms should not have the final word on a physician’s professional identity. Physicians should be able to correct the record. Patients should be able to see where information came from and whether it has been verified.
What we are trying to fix
Public registry data makes a profile of every clinician in the country whether they want one or not. Those profiles are then resold, re-hosted, and increasingly fed to AI assistants that answer health questions with total confidence and no citation. The physician is the last person consulted about any of it, and often the last to find out it is wrong.
The usual remedy is to pay a directory for the privilege of correcting your own name. We think that has it backwards. Correction is free here, and it will stay free.
How we make money
We would rather say this plainly than have you work it out. Guide.md earns from optional subscriptions that add features to a claimed profile, and from featured placement slots that are labelled wherever they appear and sit outside the ranked results. That is all of it.

- We do not sell patient data or run behavioural advertising.
- We do not accept payment to change the factual content of a profile.
- We do not let payment reorder organic search results.
What we will not claim
We do not rate clinical quality, and we are sceptical of anyone who says they can from public data. We do not certify licensure or board status — the boards do that, and they are the authority. We verify identity, we label sources, and we make it easy to fix what is wrong. That is a narrower promise than most directories make, and it is one we can actually keep.
