If you have a medical emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number. Do not use this site, or any AI assistant, to decide whether a symptom is urgent.
Guide.md is a directory and information service. It is not a healthcare provider, does not practise medicine, and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, triage, or referral.
No physician-patient relationship
Using this site, searching it, reading a profile, or contacting a provider through information found here does not create a physician-patient relationship, a professional relationship, or a duty of care between you and Guide.md, and does not create one between you and any listed provider. A clinical relationship begins when a provider agrees to treat you, and not before.
We do not recommend providers
Search results are ordered by verification status and profile completeness, as described on How search works. That ordering reflects how much confirmed information a profile contains. It is not a quality ranking, a clinical assessment, or a recommendation, and a provider appearing first is not being endorsed. Featured placements are paid, are labelled as such wherever they appear, and are not a signal of quality.
AI-assisted features
Parts of this site use automated language processing — to interpret a plain-English search, to summarise public data on a profile, and to help providers draft their own biographies. These systems have real and well-documented failure modes:
- They can misread a query and return providers who are not relevant.
- They can state something with confidence that is incomplete or wrong.
- They can omit a provider who would have been a better match.
- They summarise the data we hold, which may itself be out of date.
Automated summaries on a profile are drawn only from that provider’s registry record and anything they have published themselves. They are marked where they appear. No AI-generated text on this site should be read as clinical information, and no output from it has been reviewed by a clinician for your particular situation.
Verify before you act
Before making any healthcare decision, confirm the following directly with the provider’s office, the relevant state licensing board, or your insurer:
- Current licensure and standing with the state medical board.
- Board certification, through the certifying body.
- Whether they are accepting new patients.
- Whether they participate in your insurance plan.
- Current address, hours, and the services actually offered at that location.
Directory data across the whole industry — ours included — goes out of date. Federal registry records are updated when a provider files a change, and providers do not always file promptly. Treat everything here as a starting point for a phone call, not as a substitute for one.

Reporting something wrong
If a profile contains inaccurate clinical or credentialing information, email support@guide.md with the NPI. Corrections that could mislead a patient are handled ahead of everything else in the queue.
